Wistanstow Village Hall was the amazing venue for Rachel + Adam’s country vintage themed Shropshire wedding.  It was such an amazing day with so much laughter, fun...and booze!

The legal bit was done earlier in the week at Ludlow Registry Office, and the full-on celebrations took place at this fabulous country location near Craven Arms in Shropshire.

Rachel looked stunning with her hair and makeup by the amazing Kassi Ellis, who I have had the pleasure of working with on numerous occasions.

This was very much a 'DIY wedding' with Rachel sourcing the lanterns, selfie sticks, and bunting, and making the signs, table plan, order of service, menu, 'I Spy cards', favours, and book quotes.  What a talented bride...who was assisted by her mum!  Rachel...I think you should set up your own business!

The village hall was also dressed by the very lovely and talented Ruth Tilley who owns Festoon.  If you are looking for styling or decoration for your wedding give her a shout...or maybe contact Rachel in the future...you never know!

How did you meet?

"We were both working in TV on the Alan Titchmarsh Show.  Adam was a Stage Hand, I was Production Coordinator.  We worked on it for two or three series and Adam had noticed me but I hadn't noticed him!  One day a friend pointed him out to me and I made an effort to speak to him and there was an instant connection.  Dating followed, then a 'break', then more dating which got serious, then a long distance relationship while I went to Australia, but I gave in and came back after 6 months and we moved in together.  The rest is history!"

Tell me about the proposal

"We went on holiday to Paxos, a proposal was the last thing on my mind because my Grandpa had just passed away.  Adam had been waiting for the right time for almost a year and almost didn't do it!  But he knew my G-pa would have approved.  We took a little boat out for the day and motored around the island, pulled into a little bay and he popped the question!"

Theme/vision for the day

"We never had a strict theme...country vintage wedding, wild flowers, natural and relaxed."
