I have been a member of the Fearless Photographers community for a number of years, and have been so inspired by the work of some of my photography heroes from around the world who make up this amazing community.
The 'Fearless Award' is thought of as the 'Holy Grail' of wedding photography awards. It is something that I have strived for...but I always considered it to be an award that other people got. Each round of awards receives approximately 10,000 entries, and from those around 1 - 3% receive an award, chosen by a panel of amazing award winning photographers from around the world.
Well...I was in London earlier this week, and as my train pulled into Euston station I received an email informing me that I had won an award in the latest round! 😀🏆🎉
Thank you so much to the curators of the latest round of awards and to Huy Nguyen, who works tirelessly to maintain the amazing 'Fearless' community!
The photo that won an award was taken at Tamsyn + Tom's incredible wedding at Fordhall Organic Farm. Kids will be kids eh! 😂 It was the perfect day!
I love my job, as I get to meet so many wonderful people and visit some incredible places around the world! To get an award is just the icing on an already delicious cake!
